The Greater Accra branch of the Nandom Youth Association (NYA), has commended the  area’s Member of Parliament [MP]   who doubles  as the Hon. Minister for the  Interior, Mr. Ambrose Derry for gradually meeting the expectation of the people.

According to the group’s national President, Mr. Julius St. Baayel, the Member of Parliament (MP) has so far constructed about 35 boreholes in 35 different locations across the Nandom Constituency, in the Upper West region.

Some of these 35 beneficiary communities where the boreholes are located include Bezum, Magtange, Sonne, Gegengkpe community, Gengengkpe JHS, Puffien-baagangn Nandom Zongo A line amongst many other communities in the constituency.

Addressing the media in Accra, Mr. St. Baayel hinted that the Interior Minister, Mr. Derry also sponsored health screening for the people of  Nandom District, especially those suffering from cervical cancer at various communities where the disease is prevalent.

He hinted that the legislator procured and presented some medical equipment to the St. Theresa’s Hospital  to facilitate routine cervical cancer screening.

Following the prevailing criminal activities in the area, it was noted the Interior Minister is funding police post facilities at the Kaaba community, and a bridge soon to be opened for commuters at Dangbal.

The Nandom Youth Association informed ghanaiandemocrat.com that the  Minister provided ten grinding mills to ten communities in the Nandom ; this communities were Puffien, Gaamuoyir, Ketuo, Betaglo, amongst many others in the area.
