Give Us An Islamic Senior High School-Nkawkaw Muslims appeal to Nana and Boniface

Muslims at Nkawkaw on Friday 15th June 2018 joined the rest of the world to mark the annual Eid-Fitr celebration in a grand style. 

The ceremony which began at exactly 9am with the usual prayers at the Nkawkaw stadium was attended by many Muslim brothers and sisters as well as most importantly the Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive, hon. Yaw Owusu Addo and his entourage.

Speaking to journalist after the prayers, Hon. Owusu Addo congratulated all Muslims for the 30 days of body affliction and intercession for themselves and the nation at large. He also thanked the leadership of the Muslim community for working hard to foster peace and unity amongst the various sectors in the Muslim communities in the Municipality.

Hon. Owusu Addo  also pleaded with the Muslims especially  the leadership to rally behind government and the assembly to be able to deliver good governance to the Municipality and nation at large. He however called on all Muslims to pray for Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo for long life and wisdom to deliver on his many promises to the Ghanaian people.

Mallam Sumaila Ahmed, the Municipal Chief Imam of Nkawkaw who led the prayers also thanked Allah for his guidance through the 30 days of fasting. He also thanked all Muslims throughout the world for their self affliction and prayers for the entire world.

Mallam Sumaila Ahmed further explained to the media that the 30 days of fasting is a necessity for all Muslims and called on all faithful Muslims to live good lives to please Allah.

Imam Sumaila Ahmed  also pleaded with the President and the Minister for Inner city and Zongo development, Hon. Boniface Abubakar Sidiq to build for them an *Islamic Senior High School* at Nkawkaw to serve both the Kwahu communities and parts of the Ashanti region to enable them train and educate their Muslim youth to become good citizens for the nations . He however cautioned the youth to celebrate the season with all modesty to avoid any tragic situation.

The Imam prayed for mother Ghana and asked for Allah’s divine blessings and protection for the president, government and the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly.
