Ayawaso Central NDC Inaugurates Youth and Zongo Caucus c’tees

The Ayawaso Central constituency branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, has inaugurated its youth and Zongo Caucus committees ahead of the December polls.

The inauguration forms part of the party’s strategic plans to disseminate its message to the electorates in the area.

Mr. Dela Geraldo, the constituency chairman who took his turn to address the party people urged them to put more efforts in this year’s campaign to ensure that NDC wins power.

He stated that the party can not win the elections without the youth participation.

Therefore, he said, the party in the constituency is known for its youth friendly executives that focuses on empowering the them.

Mr. Geraldo declared that the time to lace boot for victory 2020 for the December polls has just started, and looking forward for the Electoral Commission EC to officially declare the party winner of the polls.

Constituency Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Alhaji Haruna Alhassan Giwa explained that Zongo comprises of different tribes living together in peace and harmony.

The love shown by the Zongos to NDC, according to the Giwa, has to be re-energized to winning the trust of the people and bring the party back to power.

Youth organizer of the constituency, Mr. Mohammed Awal urged the youth to put a practical campaign approach to win more votes for the party.

Mr. Thomas Mustapha Ashong, Regional Youth organizer charged party members to guide and be vigilante at all polling and collation centers.

He advised against any skirt and blouse votes, calling on all to form a united front for the party ahead of the elections.

Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Alhaji Ismaila Ali Horoya dispel the the notion that Zongos did not benefit from the NDC.

According to the NDC chief scribe, it was an NDC government that gave Muslims across the country two national holidays when then minority NPP led by Hon. Akufo-Addo walked out of the sitting on the day of the passage.

Again, Mr. Horoya indicated the preparedness of Zongo youth to serve in any sectors of the economy if given the opportunity.

Parliamentary candidate for the area, Abdul Rauf Tubazu expressed confidence that the party will win the December polls.

He said the party needs both the youth and the Zongos to win the elections.

He was in no doubt that the party has learnt its mistakes and very united to win the elections.

Rauf pointed out that internal wrangling within the central Ayawaso constituency caused the party’s defeat in most of the elections.
