Dr Kwabena Adjei passes on.
It was with
abject sorrow that the Caucus for Democratic Governance (CDG-GH)
received the news on the death of Dr Kwabena Adjei, last Tuesday, 12th
Match 2019.
Dr Kwabena Adjei was born on 19th March 1943. He
graduated in BA Psychology, from the University of Ghana in 1970. In
1973, he enrolled at the University of Strathclyde, in Scotland, where
he completed with a PHD in Psychology. Between 1981 and 1988, he was
Senior Lecturer at the University of Maiduguri, in Nigeria.
He
was PNDC Deputy Secretary for Volta Region between 1986- 1987 and
later became a Minister. He was a member of Parliament for Biakoye
Constituency from 1993- 2004. He became a Majority Leader in Parliament
from 1998- 2000. From 2005 to 2014 he served as elected National Chairman of the NDC Party.
He was an acknowledged intellectual and could spin out solid election strategies that often brought victory to NDC Party. Until he died, he was a member of the Council of Elders of the NDC Party.May his soul rest in perfect peace.
