Star Assurance Company in collaboration with Total Petroleum Ghana Limited launched ‘Star-Total Troxy Club’ to offer fuel on huge discount to support commercial drivers, especially in this COVID-19 era.

Any registered member of the ‘Star-Total Troxy Club’ gets fuel on huge discount immediately, and the private vehicles get bonus.

A Trotro driver who buys the Star Assurance product at any total fuel station wins fuel instantly based on the amount of the product he/she bought.

Star-Total Troxy Club is designed specially to support commercial drivers – trotro, taxi and motor riders (Okada) – with free membership which comes with many benefits.

As a registered member, the driver gets benefits like monthly rewards; quarterly rewards and yearly rewards.

The Troxy Club member also goes with personal benefits in addition to the aforementioned benefits.

The event urged all the commercial drivers – Trotro, taxi and ‘Okada’ riders – to register for free Total Petroleum Card which comes with Star Assurance packages.

This card was described as one of the best card in the country to ensure effective cashless system.

The Troxy Club membership is opened to the general public where private car drivers or owners are free to be part for some benefits.

There are huge awards for anyone who emerges as the chief Troxy (Troxy-Hene). Star-Total also has awards for drivers on last Friday of every month.

The guest speaker at the event, Michael K. Andoh, Deputy Commissioner of Insurance, hinted there are lots of vehicles in the system without proper insurance cover for the benefits of persons on board of the vehicle in case of accident.

He disclosed the Commission now has a data base which could help the police to help flushout vehicles without proper insurance cover.

But Mr. K. Andoh was of the view that everyone, especially the insurance companies could also make use of the data base to help reduce the influx of such vehicles on the road.

The Deputy Commissioner of Insurance, Mr. K. Andoh helping to launch the product, has lauded the partnership between the Star Assurance Company and the Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (Ltd).

On his part, Laurent Gouy, Sale and Marketing Manager, Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd described the partnership as strategic for an Oil Marketing Company and an Insurance Company to seek for a service that meets the growing needs of the customers.
