As the new moon signals the holy month of Ramadan, I wish all Muslims in Ghana and around the world, Ramadan Kareem and Saum Maqbul.

It is my hope that during this purifying Holy Month, your sincere prayers, devotion and faith in Allah will make you better vessels to serve society and humanity in truth and integrity.

It is also my prayer that your many religious and social practices like fasting, prayer, almsgiving and help to the poor will yield good fruits to enrich your lives and positively affect your communities.

Let us continue to look into the future of our great country with hope and the attainment of our sacred rights to peace, progress, prosperity and the derived dignity of every person, regardless of his or her ethnicity, religion, culture, social standing or political persuasions.

May the blessings and joy of Ramadan enhance your human and spiritual growth. My sincerest wishes go to all Muslims for good health and happiness during this Holy Month and throughout the coming year.
