SLTF Disburses Loans to Additional 5,667 Tertiary Students, Boosting Access to Education

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has made a significant stride in facilitating access to tertiary education by disbursing loans to an additional 5,667 students for the 2024/2025 academic year.
This brings the total number of beneficiaries to 31,659 students across 130 public and private tertiary institutions, underscoring NDC administration’s commitment to providing inclusive educational opportunities.
The SLTF’s efforts are part of the President John Mahama-led government’s initiative to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder students from pursuing their academic aspirations.
Dr. Saajida Shiraz, Chief Executive Officer of the SLTF, reiterated that providing continuous financial support to students remains a top priority, particularly in implementing the government’s ‘No-Fees-Stress’ policy.
“We remain committed to providing financial support to continuing students,” Dr. Shiraz stated, highlighting the institution’s focus on accelerating national development through quality tertiary education.
She encouraged beneficiaries to maximize the policy’s benefits and ensure that the government’s efforts yield positive outcomes.
The timely disbursement of funds has enabled students to enroll in their preferred tertiary institutions without undue financial strain.
The SLTF’s commitment to supporting students aligns with the government’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous society.
