NPP is now Minority in Parliament. NDC is Majority Party in Parliament-Asiedu Nketiah

The General Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has announced that the NDC now controls majority in Parliament and that that places Mr. John Mahama in poll position to win the elections.

Addressing a new conference at the Party Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, the NDC General Secretary said “We can project that President Mahama is heading towards victory because there is a correlations between the Presidential results and Parliamentary results”.

He indicated that the NPP are in an uncomfortable position due to the Parliamentary results are requesting for recount inorder to pull a fast one on the NDC .

He added the NPP tried this similar machinations in 2008 under Candidate Akufo Addo but the plan was foiled by the dedicated NDC Agents.

“This prevented the NPP from rigging the 2008 elections. We are aware of one TV calling the Parliamentary for the NPP.We are warning those media houses who are calling those fake figures to stop if they don’t want any trouble in the country”, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah warned.

In this regard, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah called on the EC to ignore those instructions from above for recounting.

“We are calling on Ghanaians to insist that these so called demand for recounting and re-collation must be stopped”.

He later called on the International Communities, traditional leaders and well meaning Ghanaians to call the EC to order to avoid incurring the wrath of the party.

“We call on international communities and traditional leaders to call the EC to do the right thing and we warn the EC that should they attempt a force step, it will come along with consequences”, the General Secretary fumed.
