The newly installed Chief of Nkawkaw, Nana Osono Adade II has assured his people that his ascension unto the throne as the new Nkawkawhene represents the peace, unity and development of the area.

“I want to assure you all that my reign represents the peace, unity and development of a new Nkawkaw. For all the years I have lived, pursuing peace and unity has been my hallmark and that remains my first tool as your new Chief. I am a team player and will therefore please with you all to remain same in order that the dream of building a new Nkawkaw will see the light of day,” he said.

Nana Osono Adade II, made these remarks on Saturday when he met with leaders of the various tribes, transport unions and traders in Nkawkaw.

According to the new Chief and academic administrator, he is not ignorant of how long his community has been without a leader and the challenges that existed thus far, however once his Lord, Oderfour Effah Opinamang III, Kwahu Obomenghene has enstooled him as Chief of Nkawkaw, he and his elders will do their best in all humility and deligence to make Nkawkaw a better place to live.

“I am very much aware how the absence of a leader has caused you my people but now that my Lord, Oderfour Effah Opinamang III, Kwahu Obomenghene has glorified his servant, I and my able elders owe it our duty to champion a new course to build a better Nkawkaw for us all since our community remains the gateway to all Kwahu communities“, he noted.

Nana Osono Adade II, further warned that, one thing he detests is curses and that anyone who is found culpable of such acts will face his wrath especially persons identified as close relations.

“Let me use this opportunity to thank you all for honoring my invitation but hasten to add that, one thing I will not forgive anyone culpable of is the rampant curses. Observing most cases that are ajudicated at the Obomeng palace, I realise that is very consistent and women are mostly the culprits in that. Please once I am here, put a stop to it because if you appear here with such cases, I will deal with you bitterly, especially if you are close to me,” he added.

He however called on all his people to rally behind he and his elders in order to build a new and better Nkawkawman.
