NDC Observed Prayer for Late Alhaji Ganiu

The leadership of the NDC party on Saturday thronged to the residence of the late Alhaji Ganiu Musah who passed away a week ago to observe his one week prayers (adua) .

The late Alhaji Ganiu Musah was the commander of operations at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

Until his death, Alhaji Ganiu was in charge of security at the party’s headquarters ensuring the safety of party officials and all that visit the party office.

Speaking on behalf of the party, the General Secretary Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia eulogised the late Ganiu for his hard work and dedication to the progress of the party.

According to Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the late Ganiu died serving the party, country and religion respectively .

He recounted an instance where the Ghana police personnel attacked and beat the late Ganiu to pulp.

Though Mr. Asiedu Nketia could not confirmed the cause of Ganiu’s death but suspected the beatings that led to his death.

Late Ganiu prior to his short illness and subsequent death, complained of severe pains in his head and parts of his body after the police manhandled him.

The late Abdul Ganiu died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital in Accra, after a short illness.
