Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah stormed the Greater Accra Region, rallying support from traders, buyers, drivers, and others to vote for Mahama and NDC PCs.

On his second day touring the region, Chairman General Mosquito campaigned for Hon. PC Alfred Nii Kottey Ashie in the Odododiodoo Constituency, visiting markets like Okashie, Makola, and Tudu. He also rallied support from traders, passengers, drivers, riders, and spare parts dealers around Nkrumah Circle.

Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah addressed the exchange rate, inflation, and nuisance taxes imposed by the Nana Addo government, affecting importers and exporters. He lamented how big shops are struggling to pay loans and debts due to business losses from the high dollar-cedi rate. Asiedu Nketiah argued that only an NDC government can turn things around for traders.

He emphasized that living conditions are hard and encouraged everyone to vote out the NPP government.

Regarding free SHS, Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah clarified that the Mahama NDC government won’t cancel the policy but rather address the excesses, such as double track and poor feeding.

In the Klotey Korley Constituency, he engaged with Odona Garage masters and apprentices, outlining NDC manifesto policies that address challenges faced by spare parts dealers, artisans, and others.

Asiedu Nketiah promised to construct clinics in major garages to provide medical services to workers.

He explained the free apprenticeship policy and its potential for skill labor abroad.

He assured that the Mahama NDC government will work with all categories of workers to reduce unemployment, emphasizing that self-employment and skill training are key.

Ending the day’s campaign in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah engaged with the Taifa community alongside Hon. PC Elikplim Akurugu.

Asiedu Nketiah shared his personal experience and history in the Taifa community, where he first worked in Accra.

He testified about the community’s strong loyalty to the NPP, which led to attacks on NDC supporters.

Despite this, Asiedu Nketiah noted that the NPP did nothing developmental in the community, while NDC governments made significant contributions.

Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah called on the community to change their voting orientation, expressing happiness at the community’s newfound embrace of the NDC.

He assured his strong support for Hon. PC Elikplim Akurugu to become a better MP for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency.

Hon. PC Elikplim Akurugu lamented how Taifa voted for an absentee NPP MP who only visited for votes. She emphasized her capacity and networks to work for the constituency when elected as their next MP.

Chairman General Mosquito concluded by calling on everyone to be vigilant, as the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency seat will be won by Elikplim Akurugu for the NDC.
