Bawumia Concedes Defeat
Ghana’s out-going Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the flag bearer of the ruling new patriotic party (NPP), has conceded defeat to opposition President-elect John Mahama, congratulated him on his victory in the first round of the election.
“I would like on behalf of the NPP and its millions of supporters, to congratulate Mr. Mahama most warmly for his electoral victory. We wish him and the NDC well, both in the Executive and in the Legislature,” Bawumia said in a press statement.
This follows information and breaking news as at (8/12/2024) and in the wake of electoral commissions announcement that until the people of Ghanaian state for the next four years, the perennially imposed presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) issued a statement prematurely and presumptuously declaring himself Ghana’s President-Elect and winner of Election 2024 elections.
John Mahama who warned on twitter that his party would not accept the comprehensive results of the 2024 presidential elections if both deemed such results to have been doctored by the Electoral Commission.
Regarding the preceding, we find two disturbing problems which are, nonetheless, hardly surprising, because this is actually the intransigent positions.
