MP Calls on Ladadekotopon Muslim Community Leadership

Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Rita Odorley Sowah has called on the leadership of Muslim community at La over the week.

The MP was received at the Masjid Ibrahim La during her visit by the Ladadekotopon Community chief Imam who doubles as the Greater Accra Regional Gadangme Tijaniya Chief Imam Jallo Imam Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani Mensah.

Her visit forms part of ‘thank you tour’ that she has embarked upon to thank the people of La for having confidence and voting for her and the party, the National Democratic Congress NDC in the just ended 2020 general elections.

Hon. Odorley Sowah thanked the leadership of Muslim community for their prayers, support and wisdom guidance and ensuring the peaceful coexistence between the other religious groups in the municipality.

She promised to work hard to bring development to the municipality.

The one time Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, hon. Rita reminded them of the numerous initiatives development she has brought on board when she was Municipal head.

She promised that with the support of the people and her party coming into office after the supreme court ruling will bring more developmental initiatives to the municipality.

Imam Ibrahim Mensah reiterated his commitment to backing her with prayers and urged her not to deviate from what she has promised the people of La during her campaign tour.

He wished her and the team well and thank them for the historic visit adding that “this marks a new chapter in the municipality “.

  1. Hmmm I note that only the MP is wearing a face mask. Covid is real and we must all act to protect ourselves and others.
