Western Regional youth group, Western Youth Movement has issued a statement calling on the President Nana Akufo Addo to remove the boss of Criminal Investigations Department CID Madam Tiwah Addo Danquah.

According to them, the CID boss must produce the missing girls within seven days.

Read the statement below:

STATEMENTOF DISPLEASURE

The Western Youth Movement wish to register their dissatisfaction about the disparity in the communications concerning the operations of the Western Regional security council, the BNI, and the police and other high profiles involve in bringing back our “Takoradi Girls”.

We wish also to accentuate clearly that the Ghana Police Service is gradually losing our trust and this we believe can give birth to anarchy.

According to the Police CID boss, Mad. Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah and also the Gender and Social Protection Minister, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison who convincingly stated that the three kidnapped Takoradi girls are alive; we the youth and people of Western Region together with the affected families strongly believe our girls are alive and they must be rescued.

We demand from government and the Ghana Police Service to bring back our Takoradi Girls as they did to the Canadian girls for which they took glory for doing without any foreign assistance.

The Ghana Police CID can not continue to fail the people of Ghana. We give the government a one week ultimatum starting from 7th August, 2019, to remove the police CID boss from office if she can not find our three sisters.

If the government refuses to remove her we the youth and people of Western Region will hit the street in our numbers against the government.
