Gregory Afoko’s Niece Begs Prez Akufo-Addo For Her Uncle’s Mercy

Ms. Cynthia Afoko a Niece of Gregory Afoko, is appealing to President Akufo-Addo to grant her uncle bail to aid him to seek medical attention.

Gregory Afoko and two other man were accused in 2015 for murdered the Alhaji Adams Mahama, the then Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),

According to her, the health condition of the uncle is very worrying and seeks immediate medical attention adding that failure to care for him would cause his life.

The media spotted Ms. Afoko at the walk for justice organized by the National youth of the NDC carrying a placard which says, “Justice for Gregory Afoko Now”, “Polorize Judicial System, Free Gregory Afoko Now”.

In an attempt to interview Afoko niece lamented that “My Uncle deserves justice. Apparently, he was granted bail in 2020 but he is still there. I know a lot of people are surprised. He is not well. He is sick. We are asking that they give him bail so that he comes home for us to give him a special treatment”.

“My uncle is not being treated fairly and keeping in at the police custody is not the best but granting him a bail will do the family lots of good”, she stressed.

She urged the media to channel the attention on the ailing Gregory Afoko and also spreading the information let this man come out.

” He can be your brother or it could be you tomorrow. We want him to come out and get treatment. He is not well”
