Fake Soga Chief Using Police, DCE to Terrorise Soga Family And Media
A self – styled chief of Soga, Freeman Agbenya Sogah who has the immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE), Louis Emmanuel AGAMAH in his pocket has suddenly gain scanty powers to command the Ghana Police Service at the Didtrict to intimidate the Soga family and media personnel who dare speak against his legitimacy.
The thugs move round town with some police officers attacking and harassing persons believed to be critical about his supposed chieftancy.
Freeman Agbenya Sogah installed illegally as Dufia of SogaKofe and rans quickly to file an injunction at the National House of Chiefs in Kumasi with the support of some unscrupulous elders restricting the real Soga family from installing a legitimate successor to their stool.
With the support of these invisible elders, Mr Agbenya Sogah and one Francis Sogah aka Abusibie are all over claiming they are Soga chiefs and stool father and are going round harassing people and taking their lands from them.
Though, the case is yet to be heard at the Kumasi National House of Chiefs, Mr. Agbenya “Sogah” and Francis “Sogah” are seen parading themselves as the Dufia of Sogakope and Soga stool father respectively.
In view of this, residents of Sogakope are appealing to the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi to fast-track the case before them to stop any unforeseen bloodbath following the current tension in the Soga town.
Theahajj.com has gathered that respondent in the National House of Chief case, the Soga stool father, the proposed successor and others have paid their fee but the plaintiff did not pay a dime since they filed the case in August, 2019 and no single hearing was made.
Available documents in the custody of this portal from Hohoe Court indicates that Freeman Agbenya “Atsuga Sogah II” was convicted for stealing Seven fingers of tilapia fish. This fact is also known to the people of SogaKofe who have since accorded him the accolade “Tilapia Chief” in the town.
