The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 elections in the Okai Koi South Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Ernest Adomako (Keon) has challenged the leader and flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahmoudu Bawumia to declare his stands on the current ongoing debate on LGBTQ+.

It will be recalled that few weeks ago, the parliament of Ghana passed the family values bill to criminalize the activities of same sex in the country.

The passage of the bill was greeted with condemnations from the West especially the United States and the United Kingdom.

But speaking on angel FM’s W’ADWUNA NIE show hosted by Ohemaa Woye Je on Thursday, Mr. Ernest Adomako dared Veep Bawumia to come out with his stand as a Muslim and fasting during this Ramadan.

According to him, the President’s letter on the matter to parliament speaks to the position of the ruling party of which Bawumia is the leader and flag-bearer.

While Ghanaians are waiting on the bill to be signed into law, the president chose the other way round by writing to parliament to desist from transmitting the bill to his office.

The move was described by the speaker of parliament, Alban Sumaila Bagbin as an attempt by the Akuffo Addo/Bawumia government to destroy democratic values chalcked over the years.

The NDC PC also called on the western countries to legalize polygamy as a way of respecting human rights before imposing any kind of ungodly act on sovereign nations.
