Arrest Nii Okamfra and Boys – Ga West Residents’ Appeal to IGP

Residents in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have appealed to Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppon-Boanuh to arrest and prosecute Nii Okamfra Abbey1, popularly known as Mustapha Baba Amando a.k.a Staff and his boys.

According to the residents, the self acclaimed Development Chief of Sapeima is a known notorious landguard who has been terrorising the communities for years with no action taken by the law enforcement agencies to bring him to book.

Residents were shocked to see the chief landguard in the company of some police officers given protection.

When this portal interviewed some of the residents on the state of security in their areas, they said their main problem is the activities of the landguard and his boys threatening the peace of the area.

Some opinion leaders within Ashalaja, Amasaman, Sapeima and Pobiman expressed disappointment at the Amasaman police command.

For them, the Amasaman District Police Command is aware of the illegal activities of the languards but failed to address it.

They called on the IGP to step in as a matter of urgency and restore peace in the Municipality.

They believed that reshuffling the District Police Command could bear some results and restore confidence in the residents.

Nii Abbey Okamfra has been arrested on several occasions by both the Municipal and Regional Police Command.
