Am the Best Man For Ayawaso East – PC Aspirant
One of the Parliamentary contesting the Ayawaso East NDC primaries, Dr. Yakubu Azindo has touted himself to be the best candidate to lead the NDC in 2020 elections.
Dr. Azindo who was described by many as the face of Ayawaso East, is poised to win the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
The young academia has over the period touched base with delegates, party members, foot soldiers and has been able respond to their needs whenever he is contacted.
The US based lecturer filed his nomination forms on Friday to contest the upcoming primaries slated later in August this year.
Numerating some areas he will be touching when he gets the nod to lead the NDC in the constituency includes human resource development, skills training and small and medium term loans for traders.
He told ghanaiandemocrat.com in an interview that he would initiate projects that will generate income for the party and make the party more attractive to the new voter.
The political scientist indicated that lack of contribution by the MP on the floor of the house rendered members of the constituency and interlectuals hopeless without proper representation of the people.
His coming into the race was to make a strong case that the constituency has qualified people to lead.
Dr. Yakubu Azindo is going head to head in the elections with the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Naser Mahama Toure after one of the candidates, Mr. Octhere Darko tended in his withrawal letter from the contest.
The two contestants have created heated atmosphere among delegates that could be a potential threat to the unity of the party in the constituency.
Some branch executives who declared their support feel threatened from the camp of the MP.
