ABOFAB Task farmers to Adhere to Gov’ts Directives on COVID 19
The Executive Director of Abrono Organic Farming Project (ABOFAP), Nana Kwau Adams has advised farmers to adhere strictly by the directives of COVID 19 in other to stop the spread.
Nana Kwau Adams who doubles as the Twafohene for the Forikrom traditional council in the Techiman North District of the Bono Region told farmers the need to take the preventive measures seriously.
The Forikrom base organization saw the need the embark on a outreach program to educate farmers on the dangers of COVID 19 and how to curb its spread in the region.
According to him, farmers in Ghana are determined to make food available in their right quality and quantity to feed both home and abroad and create more jobs for the development of the country.
Meanwhile, the Medical Director of the Forikrom health Centre, Mr. Louis Amoako Yeboah has also tasked Ghanaians and farmers in particular to wear nose masks and observe the social distancing protocols and also embrace the use of alcohol based hand sanitizers as well as stay home when they have nothing meaningful doing in town.
Moreover, some of the farmers who participated in the workshop expressed their satisfaction on the training received.
