Peace Chief to Run For Parliament

The Greater Accra Regional Peace Chief, Mr. Abdulayi Mayuka has expressed his readiness to contest for an independent parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso North in the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Mayoka has been in constant touch with the youth who have welcomed his decision to run for parliamentary seat in the next elections.

His decision to context was as a result of numerous calls on him by the youth to contest for the Ayawaso North seat.

Checks at various bases in the constituency revealed the youth are willing to go all out to campaign for him and give him necessary support to win the seat.

Some of the youth who spoke with the expressed their disappointment at the two major political parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the youth, both the NPP and the NDC have the same mindsets of enriching themselves and their families when they get the opportunity to rule.

“We are tired of these criminals ruling us, the MP Yusif Jaja is not performing so we are changing him”, they said.

They stated further that “Fiston is one of us. He understands the situation we are facing and he is a geto boy who make sure geto youth can have something to chop”.

But speaking exclusively with this portal, Mr. Mayuka confirmed that he is contesting and was hopeful to win the seat hands down.

He said ” the time has come for the people to get a real representation in Parliament, some one who can create jobs for the geto youth and give respect to the people”.

He called on the electorate to reject the NPP and the NDC in the next elections to go for the one who can heed to their cries and answer their calls anytime they are in need .
