Members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, have undertaken a “Victory Walk” to celebrate the Party’s success in the just ended Presidential primaries election. 

A week ago former President John Mahama won the presidential primaries by 95percent in the just ended Flagbearership race of the party.

Supporters clad in NDC colours as National Executives led party faithful in the four-hour walk which covered 10-point-six kilolitres, which started from Kawokudi Park through some principal streets amidst brass band music, singing and dancing.

 The walk ended at the El-Walk Stadium. The Flagbearer elect, John Mahama, thanked the NDC supporters for the confidence reposed in him and promised to deliver on the campaign promises. 

He also called on all to continue with the spirit of unity among party faithful to secure power from the NPP. Mr. Mahama also assured that the parliamentary primary election will also be conducted peacefully to elect from the various constituencies.

Reacting to the alleged leaked tape, National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, said he is not a violent person and will not approve any form of violence.

Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo on a said leaked tape was heard asking party members to verbally abuse individuals.
