TWO GAYS ATTACKED
One, Sule Mohammed and his partner whose name was given as Emmanuel were attacked by the Mujahideen vigilante group of Nima.
The two alleged to be gays were caught red handedly naked having same sex love at Emmanuel’s residence at the Airport Residential Area in Accra.
The two were arrested and were beaten mercilessly by the mob but Sule mistakenly escaped as they were been taking to the police station.
According to a member of the Mujahideen Vigilante Group who spoke on a condition of anonymity, they have been tracking Sule Mohammed for sometime now based on his recent behaviours.
We started monitoring his movements when his incle informed us that he suspects Sule to be engaged into gay practice.
Sule ,according to our souce was a salesperson at his uncles shop at Accra and it is believed that it was at the shop that the two met and started having same sex affairs.
Our source was however tightlipped on the police station Sule’s partner, Emmanuel was taken to.
Meanwhile, when this reporter followed up to the shop where Sule served as a Salesman, it was confirmed that the incident occured and that Sule since that day had not reported to work.One, Kamal Mohammed who also works at the shop confirmed the incident and added that Sule was lured into that satanic activity by Mr. Emmanuel who used to be their regular customer.
Kamal noted that he is not aware as to how long Sule and Emmanuel have been engaged into homosexuality.
He described the incident as pathetic and wonder how his workmate ended up being a gay.Responding to whether he knew of Sule’s current whereabout and the police station Emmanuel was taken to, Kamal said ” I have not heard of Sule since that infamous attack and I neither knew of his whereabout nor where Mr. Emmanuel was taken to”.Gay practice which is gaining momentum among the youth is illegal in Ghana.This, has resulted in the setting up of community watchdog groups or vigilante bodies that are fighting homosexuality in Ghana.
Gay persons and supporters are often attacked, beaten, tortured and sometimes killed with impunity in Ghana.
The Mujahideen is one of such anti gay movements based at Nima, a Muslim community in Accra in the Greater Accra Region.
