Tema MCE heads to court for alleged defamatory publication against him

Mr. Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tema is to seek redress in court for alleged defamatory publications made against him on Adom FM by Captain Smart, host of ‘Dwaso Nsem’.

In a letter dated 21st March 2018, and addressed to the Managing Director of the Multimedia Group (Adom FM) by Safo and Marfo @ Law, Barrister and Solicitor @ Law signed by Gary Nimako Marco, Managing Partner of the firm states that: “We act as Solicitors for Mr. Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tema Metropolitan Assembly and we write pursuant to his instructions.

“We are informed that on Monday the 19th day of March 2018, Captain Smart granted an interview to Mr. Elvis Owusu Adansi Jnr. to which Captain Smart and the said Mr. Adansi Jnr. was alleged to have made defamatory publications about our client.”

“We are further informed that on 21‘March, 2018, the said defamatory publication was repeated. We are instructed to request for the said tapes in order to study the contents thereof to advise our client”.

Officials of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly on Tuesday March 20th 2018 in press release denied the allegations made against the MCE.

According to the TMA, the unsubstantiated accusations were unfortunate, and call on Ghanaians and residents in Tema to treat same with the contempt it deserves.
