Ace Ghanaian award winning OAP, tourism and destination marketing expert & CEO of West Africa’s leading travel and tours provider, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, known famously as Abeiku Santana in proper proceedings attended & participated entirely as an international hosted buyer in all tasks at the year’s Africa Travel Indaba 2018, which stand in as the largest tourism marketing show on the African calendar, proudly organized by Synergy Business Events on behalf of South African Tourism.

At Indaba this year, over 1747 buyers from countries all over the world experienced the authentic spirit and soul of the continent of Africa, capitalized on the opportunity to immerse in the culture and traditions of no less than 22 exhibiting African countries. Exhibitors met at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2018 qualified buyers who are really interested in selling Africa, whilst buyers had access to the biggest variety of products on the continent, from the hidden gems in South Africa to the luxury experiences across Africa as a continent.

In an official report written by the CEO of the award winning Travel & Tours provider, Kaya Tours in West Africa – Ghana, a number of about seven thousand participants from 80 countries with 22 countries from Africa employed in matchmaking, speed marketing and studying innovative technological ways in tourism stock delivery. Abeiku Santana then quoted how the Hon.Tourism Minister of South Africa, Derek Hanekom called for upgrading of tourism product, in order to entice supplementary investment in Africa.

Mr. Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana attended the 2018 Africa’s Travel Indaba in the City of Durban with ither high-size and prominent West African tourism delegation, counting from the Head of Nigeria’s Tour operators association, Mr. Kwesi Eyison – the newly elected President of the Tour operators Union of Ghana, Mrs. Nancy Sam – President of Women in Tourism Ghana and the Editor in chief and Publisher of Africa’s leading Travel and Tourism magazine ATQ among others.

Africa’s topmost travel and tourism expo #INDABA2018 has successfully come to a close in Durban, South Africa.

About 7000 Participants from 80 countries with 22 countries from Africa including government Agencies, Destination Management Companies, media, exhibitors, hosted buyers, tourism professionals from all around the world engaged in Speed marketing, Matchmaking, Networking and learning innovative technological ways in the tourism product delivery.

Africa’s Travel and Tourism Expo, Indaba plays an integral role in the shaping of the continent’s success stories.

The exhibitors showcased assortment of products with over 500 smaller enterprises known as “Hidden Gems” from startup entrepreneurs.

South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Derek Hanekom called for the improvement of tourism products to attract more investment in Africa.

The west African tourism delegation among others were  Hajia Barkisu ,President of the Tour Operators Association in Nigeria 🇳🇬, Mr Kwesi Eyison ,The President of the Tour Operators Union in Ghana 🇬🇭, Alhaji Rabo Salih, Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria ,The President of The Travel Agents of Nigeria , Mr Bankole Bernard , The Chief Editor and Publisher of Africa’s leading Travel and Tourism Magazine ATQ, and Founder of West Africa’s biggest tourism expo , Akwaaba Nigeria , Weizor Accra , Mr Ikechi Ucko , Mrs Nancy Sam the President of Women in Tourism Ghana , Mr Abeiku Aggrey Santana , CEO of Kaya Tours Ghana , Ameyaw Debrah, Francis Doku were among the 26 West African Delegation drawn from Ghana and Nigeria.

In a closing remark the CEO of South Africa Tourism, Mr Sisa Ntshona praised the Africa delegates for cooperating to promote and integrate the continent as one destination through tourism.
