Small Scale Miners Mourn Helicopter Crash Victims, Express Solidarity With Government and Armed Forces

The Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners (GNASSM) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight officials and military personnel at Brofoyedu in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
In a statement issued and signed by the General Secretary, Godwin Nickleson Amrah, GNASSM extended heartfelt condolences to the Government of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the grieving families of the victims. The Association described the incident as a painful national loss and offered prayers for the souls of the departed and strength for their bereaved families.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and our hearts go out to the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased. We pray that the souls of the departed rest in peace and that the bereaved families find the strength to navigate this difficult time,” the statement read.
GNASSM pledged solidarity with the Government, the NDC and the Ghana Armed Forces during this period of national mourning, emphasizing that the memories of the fallen heroes must be cherished and honoured.
