Royal Ladies Ministry Support Korle-Bu Paediatric Oncology Unit
The royal ladies ministry of the Royal house chapel has supported Korle-Bu Paediatroc Oncology Unit with Ghc 100,000.
The Tuesday’s donation forms part of the ministry’s 30th anniversary celebration.
According to the founder and president of royal ladies ministry, Reverend Rita Koranye Ankrah, “it is a privileged to partner korle -bu in supporting child cancer treatment and patient care”.
At short event held at the korle-bu teaching hospital on Tuesday, Rev Ankrah handed over a proof of payment amounting to Ghc 100,000 cedis to the chief executive officer of korle-bu hospital, Dr. Frank owusu sekyere.
For her, the church was making the contribution in appreciation of the great work done by the hospital in the fight against cancer at the oncology unit.
“We make this contribution in appreciation of the work the teaching hospital has done and the efforts made by your outfit towards the fight against children with cancer related issues and sickness”, she stated.
In addition to the cash donation, Mrs. Ankrah revealed that other items donated includes 40 boxes of bucket, wipes, 5 big boxes of nose masks,10 big boxes of face shields, 10 boxes of nasal cannula, 10 gallons of sanitizer, together with 2 hospital beds, 6 mattress, 2 boxes of XXL surgical gowns.
Also in the list were 2 boxes of isolation downs, 2 wheel chairs, walking aids elbow, 3 crutches 3 airbeds and 2 bedside drawers.
Among those who witnessed the donation were Doctors and nurses at Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, Senior Medical Superintendents,and other senior royal ladies officials.
