The Greater Accra Regional Peace Chief, Mr. Abdulai Mayuka has ensured that both candidates for the just ended National Democratic Congress NDC Parliamentary Primaries for the Ayawaso North constituency are united.

The Peace chief has therefore created a platform for both the victor and the loser to interact and chat the way forward for the party ahead of 2020 elections.

In an interview with ghanaiandemocrat.com Mr. Mayuka explained that politics is a way of life and that there’s no need for divisions after internal elections.

According to him, Ghana has come of age and matured in practicing democracy .

This he said would not be the first nor shall it be the last.

He observed that the conduct of the elections were peaceful and commended delegates for exercising their Democratic rights devoid of violence.

The month long campaign saw some tensions rising from the camp of both candidates.

The main political party’s opponents, the New Patriotic Party NPP predicted doom and disunity as the order of the day ahead of the parliamentary primaries.

But the party’s show of maturity in it’s internal contest shows their true comradeship.

Hon. Yusif Jaja polled 557 votes to beat his main contender Dr. Mustapha Ahmed who polled 255 votes.
