Odimafo (ODF) Cooperative Credit Union Holds 3rd AGM
The Board Chairman of Odimafo (ODF) Cooperative Credit Union in Techiman, Bono East Regional Capital Mr. Kwaku Agyapong has called on the people of techiman and Ghanaians as a whole to imbibe the habit of savings.
As such, he urged residents of Techiman to save money with Cooperative Credit Unions specifically ODF since it has proven to serve the interest of the local people in the country Region.
He made the call during their 3rd Annual General Meeting in Techiman over the weekend.
The AGM was attended by dignitaries, Shareholders, Customers, CUA Executives, Bankers, staff and the media
He praised the management, shareholders and customers of the bank for their hard work to ensure the growth huge profit the bank recorded this year as compared to last year.
Mr. Kwaku Agyapong touching on the operational results for membership and assets growth said upon all the country’s financial clean up couples with it’s negative impact, the union was able to see appreciable level of growth.
He said the membership rose from 1, 036 to 1, 336 showing an increase of 29%, meanwhile members who have subscribe to the minimum share are around 485.
He said shares capital increased from 103, 788.60 to 116, 348.42 representing an increase in 12.1%.
On the other hand total assets also increase from 1, 175,014.66 to 1,382,777.84 also representing an increase of 17.7%
Mr. Kwaku Agyapong, therefore urge all members and potential members who have not reach the minimum share mark to do so.
On his part, Mr. Ernest Kwame Assem popularly known as Doctor, the general manager of Odimafo (ODF) Cooperative Credit Union in an interview with the media, urged the public to have confidence in credit Unions and cultivate the habit of saving money to improve their financial status.
