Obuobia Darko-Opoku supports Akropong School for the Blind on her birthday

The Deputy Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Obuobia Darko-Opoku on Sunday joined students of the Akropong School for the Blind at their church service to celebrate her 44th birthday.

Obuobia, accompanied by her mother and two sons, also took along the Winneba Youth Choir who performed a number of favourite songs to a joyous dancing session by the students.

In a post on her Facebook page, the former Deputy Executive Director of the Ghana Free Zones Authority and Presenter of Pause4three Minutes, a motivational presentation said the students “do not only have among them powerful and spirit-filled preachers but also a collection of talented singers with great voices and also instrumentalists.”

“I had so much wanted to spend my birthday morning with them, and I am very happy I was able to”, she added.

The birthday celebrant shared 200 packs of hot meal with the students and their teachers. She also handed over to the school, two Rambo 1000 poly tanks, water pumping machines, 55 bags of rice, 20 bags of sugar, 15 gallons of oil and 9 boxes of Spaghetti.
