Oblieman Overlord Ejects Improper Land Occupants
The overlord of Oblieman – Opah in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Ayittey Oyanka, I has ejected all illegal land owners in the area.
This came at the back of a judgement by the Accra High Court in favor of the defendant, Nii Ayittey Anumle Oyanka I.
The possession order was carried out by a joint team of Ghana Police Service and the Court.
The exercise was carried out in the morning of Wednesday, January, 14 2020,which was largely peaceful amid tight security.
Order of writ of possession was served to the affected illegally occupied land owners on 16th October, 2019.
Several reminders which followed with warnings to pave way for the original owner to occupy the land fell on deaf ears.
Speaking to the ghanaiandemocrat.com shortly after the exercise, Nii Oyanka I warned illegal occupants to immediately desist from occupying the said lands.
According to him,it is high time people show respect to chiefs and listen to them.
He said that most of the land litigation problems engulfed in the region was due to the lack of truth in the system.
He warned those referring to legally mandated chiefs as imposters to desist from that act .
He served notice that those illegally land Occupants should get ready as they would soon be dragged to court.
