Oblieman Chief Takes Step To Tackle Land Encroachers
The Chief of Oblieman, Nii Ayittey Oyanka has vowed to protect all land belonging to the Abola Piam of the Ga state.
The Acting Chief of the Ga state was alarmed by the increasing number of illegal encroachment of lands belonging to the family of Abola Piam by unsuspecting individuals.
Nii Ayittey Oyanka popularly known in private life as Zola, warned persons terrorising residents and selling off land that does not belong to them should put a stop before they come for them.
Nii Obliman made the statement over the weekend when he installed new youth chiefs at Treba in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
The youth Chiefs representing various communities in the Municipality were tasked to protect lands belonging to the Abola Piam family of the Ga state.
Nii Ayittey Oyanka charged them to use their position to spearhead development and protect lands belonging to the Ga.
According to him, the people of Ga have allowed politicians to divide their front making it impossible to have a Oaramount Chief for the region.
Pointing to the fact that the old are the problems facing the Ga state saying, the time has come for them to step aside and allow the youth to take up the leadership role.
Nii Obliman described as unfortunate some old men who hide behind the truth and allow the land to suffer and denied the region of a legitimate chief to ensure development.
He tasked the newly installed Chiefs to work hard and deliver on the mandate adding that “you are sent there to work for the Ga state and not for your personal interest.
Some of the newly installed Chiefs includes Asafoanyemei Ayele (Trebaman), Manye Naa Ayokor (Shikatse Trebaman), and Nii Asafoatse (Trebaman).
Others were Nii Kuja Treba 1(Trebaman), Nii Too (Kuntunse Mantse) and Asafoatse Nii Adama Djata 1.
