NPP in Crunch Meeting to Takeover Power FM 97.9
Information emanating from the corridors of the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP indicates that plans underway to take full control of programmes on power 97.9 FM, an Accra base radio station.
Our source at the NPP headquarters says the party’s move to take control of the radio station’s programme forms part of the agenda to weaken the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC communicators from exposing rots in the Akufo Addo’s administration.
Ghanaiandemocrat.com can report on authority that the NPP intend sending letter to the management of power FM requesting their communicators appear on their talk shows.
This according to the source, would pave ways for gradual process of implementing their over take full control of talk shows been held including that of Mugabe’s ‘inside politics’.
Series of meeting held by the ruling NPP over the week to discuss strategies on their proposed agenda of taking over the station received blessings of top government officials.
Their moves, our source says becomes necessary after Salifu Mugabe Maase declared winner of this year’s best talk show host at just ended 9th Edition of Radio and Television Awards held in Accra over the weekend.
Salifu Mugabe Maase is one of the critics of the Nana Akufo Addo led NPP administration and has been a ton on their flesh.
It is alleged that the fearless radio talk show host has been on the ruling NPP hit list for his continue criticising the government.
Mugabe Maase has been adjudged best radio talk show host of the year at the recently held Radio and Television Personality RTP Award in Accra over the weekend.
