A brand new supporter union, named “Unstoppable,” was officially inaugurated on March 18, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium Conference Hall. The ceremony, which comes in the wake of the tragic death of Kotoko fan Nana Pooley—who was fatally stabbed during a football match—marks a significant step toward fostering a positive atmosphere in Ghanaian football.

During the event, General Secretary Daniel Ofori welcomed the newly elected executives, urging them to prioritize the promotion of a supportive football environment, education, and the welfare of all members. He called on supporters to exercise restraint and cultivate a spirit of togetherness, emphasizing its importance for the union’s growth.

President Emmanuel Gyamfi addressed the audience, highlighting the crucial role of supporters in inspiring players and officials. “We are here today to formally establish a union dedicated to rallying behind our athletes at both local and international tournaments,” he stated. Gyamfi also appealed for financial support from companies and individuals to help sponsor the newly formed union.

“I truly appreciate the dedication of this new supporters union, and I’m confident that through mutual respect and collective effort, we can take Ghanaian football to greater heights,” he added.

Unstoppable aims to engage and support various sporting disciplines, including football, basketball, judo, table tennis, athletics, and boxing. The goal is to create enjoyable sporting experiences at game centres while developing opportunities for players, coaches, referees, and grassroots initiatives, all within an electrifying atmosphere.

A diverse group of football stakeholders has come together to ensure that Unstoppable plays a pivotal role in the Ghanaian community. The national executive team consists of:

  • Mr. Emmanuel Gyamfi – President
  • Mr. Dickson Evedzi Tamakloe – Organizing Secretary
  • Mr. Daniel Ofori – General Secretary
  • Mr. Frank Winter – Treasurer
  • Mr. William Sarpong – Public Relations Officer (PRO)
  • Madam Margaret Boadi – Women Organizer

With a focus on long-term goals, the newly inaugurated executives are poised to elevate the standards of support for Ghanaian sports.
