New Regional Minister Prioritizes Sanitation in Agenda

In her recent courtesy visit to her office, newly appointed Regional Minister Linda Ocloo emphasized the urgent need to address sanitation issues that have persisted among various ministries. Ocloo highlighted that improving sanitation is crucial for the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and all ministries, aligning with President John Mahama’s transformative agenda for the country.
During the meeting, Ocloo assured attendees that enhanced sanitation and waste management would be central to the government’s reset agenda, promoting environmental cleanliness. She announced the reintroduction of National Sanitation Day and plans to establish regional sanitation awards for all 29 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies in the region.
Ocloo stressed that achieving these goals requires collaboration from all stakeholders, including faith-based organizations and development partners. “I cannot succeed without you, and I urge you to work closely with me so that we can achieve greatness together,” she stated.
Additionally, the Regional Minister expressed her commitment to working with security agencies and MMDAs to instil discipline on the roads.
