NDC’s Community Medical Service Organises Free Health Screening
Community Medical Services, a group associated to the National Democratic Congress NDC, has organized a free health screening for residents of Ayawaso East Municipality in Greater Accra.
The exercise was in collaboration with the Member of Parliament MP, Hon. Naser Toure.
Speaking to thealhajj.com, the coordinator of the group, Hon. Awuni Moro explained that the purpose of the exercise was to ensure the people live in healthy life style.
He said the exercise would be replicated to other constituencies and regions.
On his part, the MP for the area Hon. Nasser Toure, commended the group and pledged his support.
He noted that more of such exercises will subside the health problems of his people.
Hon. Nasser Mahama Toure advised the people to take advantage of such health screening seriously to know their health status, especially the youth.
He also urged them to try and visit health centres whenever they are not feeling well as soon as possible and not to wait for it to detoririate.
The Ayawaso East Constituency NDC Chairman, Mohammed Ramnie Alabi said the event was a laudable one and commended the organizers.
He thanked the medical doctors for taking their time off despite their tight schedule to attend to this all important exercise.
Chairman Alabi was grateful to the medical team that came to carry out with the exercise. He saluted one of the team leaders, Dr. Khadel Mahama, 37 Mlitary Hospital for his dedication to ensure the programme ended successfully.
Some of the patients in an interview with this portal expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
The people were screened of various ailments including HIV, Eye problem, malaria, typhoid, diabetes, breast cancer, BP amongst others.
Some medicines were dispensed to the patients while the MP settled fully for the medicines that were unavailable to be purchased.
