NDC Teachers Forum Denounce False Claims on SHS Food Supply
The NDC Teachers Forum in the Ashanti Region has strongly condemned a recent publication that falsely claims Free SHS students are required to provide their own food.
In a press statement issued today, the Forum, led by Director of Operations Gideon Amankwah, categorically refuted these assertions, highlighting the inaccuracies and misrepresentations within the report.
Mr. Primus Baro, National Secretary of CHASS, noted that the food situation in schools has deteriorated over the past three years, with many institutions now resorting to food rationing.
He reiterated that the government, led by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, is committed to providing quality education and ensuring that students receive the necessary support, including food provisions.
The Forum expressed serious concerns over the malicious intent behind the publication, which they believe aims to undermine the reputation of the NDC and mislead the public.
They urged parents and guardians to continue supporting their children and called on the media to verify information before publication.
The Office of the President remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the highest standards of integrity regarding the Free SHS program and to prioritize the welfare of teachers, parents, and students across the region.
