NDC Submits Petition to EC, Demands Forensic Audit of Voter Register

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken a bold step by submitting a petition to the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, demanding a thorough forensic audit of the voter register. This move is aimed at ensuring the integrity and credibility of the upcoming December 7 elections.

At the petition’s presentation to Samuel Tettey, Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations at the EC, NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that failure to address their concerns could undermine the elections’ integrity.

The NDC also presented a similar petition to Parliament during their “Enough is Enough” protest, which was simultaneously held across all 16 regions of Ghana. Thousands of supporters and party executives expressed their dissatisfaction with the EC over what they claim is a flawed voter register.

Asiedu Nketia, a seasoned politician and National Chairman of the NDC, has been vocal about the need for electoral reform. With this petition, the NDC is pushing for a transparent and credible electoral process.
