NDC Endorses Prof. Kwame Addo’s Book
National Democratic Congress NDC has endorsed “Changes”, a book detailing the memory of Flt Lt. J. J Rawlings during his revolution days.
Speaking at a short ceremony at the NDC Headquarters in Accra on Friday (May 14 2021), a member of the Cadres of NDC Gloria Assinyo, representing Prof. Kwame Addo revealed that the book was compiled in 1979 at at KNUST whilst the learned Professor was studying graphic design at the College of Art department.
She said the book will serve as a guide in remembrance of historic revolution that characterized the nation in late 1970s.
“The book reminds us of the people’s power and Jerry john Rawlings the charismatic strong man of the people”, she stressed.
On his part, one of the Vice Chairmen of the NDC Mr. Kofi Attoh described the book as worth reading adding that it captures events leading to the 15th May 1979, and June 4th 1979 coups.
“Some of us are full participants of the revolution. I’ve had the opportunity of reading changes twice. It’s worth looking at. What I noticed about this book is the display of the ability by Prof Kwame Addo to draw”, Mr. Attoh observed.
He added that “If you don’t Know General Akufo, General Ankrah and Acheampong all is in the book”.
Present at the ceremony were Mr. Fritz Baffoe, Mr. Bosiako Sekyere, Kobby Ballon and Madam Ebi right.
They in turns, called for the need for the Party and Ghana to re-echo the revolution as it sets the foundation for the current democracy we are enjoying.
Later Prof. Kwame Addo donated ten thousand (10,000) copies to the NDC to help conscientize Party faithful on the revolution.
The Deputy Communications Officer for the Party Mr. Godwin Ako Gunn who joined Mr. Kofi Attoh to receive the books said the books will be used for the purpose for which they were donated.
