Former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Hon. Nana Oye Lithur has submitted her nomination forms to contest for the upcoming National Democratic Congress NDC parliamentary primaries at Adentan constituency in the Greater Accra Region slater for August 2019.

Hon. Nana Oye Lithur stormed the party office with her supporters clad in her t-shirts amids drumming and singing.

Briefing the party people, the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Baba Zakari urged supporters not to indulge in any form insults and attacks on their opponents.

Alhaji Baba also appealed to candidates of clean campaign adding that ” this is just a family affair contest and nobody should see his or her opponent as an enermy”.

Insults according to him, would devide the party’s ranks in the constituency, therefore urging supporters to be mindful of campaign messages and attacks on personality.

He called on them to desist from name calling and rancor that would jeopardize the chances of the party in the constituency come the 2020 elections.

The former Gender and Social Protection Minister on her part promised to abide by the rules and regulations of the elections.

Nana Oye Lithur was also advised her supporters not to engage in any form of negative campaigning against her opponents.

Shortly after submitting her forms, Hon. Nana Oye addressed her supporters with a call to hit the campaign ground running.

She stressed on the need for a strong unity within the party during and after the primaries to face the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP in 2020.

The former Minister told press men after filling her nomination that she would resource every branch, ward and constituency office when she is given the nod and win the parliamentary seat from the ruling NPP.

“After careful consideration and advise and overwhelming support from our former MPs, Adu Asare and Ashe Moore, I have no doubt that victory is coming for the NDC in Adentan constituency”, she stated.
