Namoale pledges support for Prof Alabi for NDC flagbearer race
A Former Member of Parliament for La Dade Kotopong, Nii Amasah Namoale, has pledged his support for Prof. Joshua Alabi, who has expressed interest in contesting the NDC flagbearership race.
According to Nii Amasah Namoale, after several considerations, he has decided not to contest himself, but rather support Prof Joshua Labi.
He said if he goes ahead to contest, he would be compelled to reveal certain secrets in the party which may go a long way to affect party cohesion.
To him, the unity walk being embarked upon by the party is well orchestrated and geared towards imposing a particular candidate on the party faithful, a move he complained does not give a level playing field for the other candidates who will contest the flagbearership race.
In a radio interview, Naomole said what transpired in Cape Coast on Sunday during the 3rd edition of the NDC Unity Walk was telling, especially, comments passed out by the Central Regional Chairman of the party, Allotey Jacobs.
This, together with others, has informed his decision to withdraw from the party’s flagbearership race.
