Madina MP Outlines Policies After First 100 Days in office
Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Francis Xavier Sosu has outlined number of initiatives in his first 100 days as the representative of his people.
In celebrating his first 100 days as Hon. MP for the area, Mr. Sosu has ear-marked projects and policies of which some have been operational.
Mr. Sosu who was addressing Journalists in Accra last Monday at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) accounted to his constituents his stewardship and inform them of his programmes, policies and achievements in the first 100 days in office.
In the area of health, the MP promised to build a new health facility at Oyarifa and give a face-lift to the existing ones including the one at Teiman, Pantang and Abokobi.
He expressed disappointment at the various contractors working on road networks, and promised to take them on to ensure completion of those projects.
Number of scholarships and job training have been rolled out to the youth according to the legislator.
As part of efforts to encourage more young people into the legal profession, the Hon. MP, Sosu instituted a new award scheme (scholarship) for graduating law students and promised to offer them internship programme at his law firm with an undisclosed amount of stipend.
He said his outfit would roll out number of programmes to ensure the living condition of the people is improved.
Meanwhile, Ghc 280,000 has been committed to the educational fund. This amount was anticipated could support 100 students with scholarship package in the constituency.
