A Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for Ahafo Ano South East Constituency in the Ashanti region, Kofi Nti Boateng (KNB) has cautioned the NDC, from the top hierarchy down to the grassroots to be vigilant about Political Entrepreneurs who are bound to infiltrate the upcoming primaries slated for 13th May, 2023. Their targets are some specific constituencies where series of researches have earmarked the NDC to either win those seats or retain them.

Speaking to Seth Addi of Today Ghana News TV, an Europe-headquartered online TV Station, he stressed; the NPP won’t sit back and do nothing. The plot is to ensure NDC gets weak candidates for those constituencies, thereby aggravating the party’s woes in 2024. The hung parliament we have today should be of great concern to us and we cannot go into 2024 thinking it will be an emphatic win for the NDC, a Nigeria-scenario can play on us, perish my thought anyways. The NDC must work twice as harder than the NPP to clinch a flawless victory in 2024; he added.

After series of interrogations, albeit being hesitant, he mentioned Ningo Prampram, Asawasi, Hohoe, Tano South, Ahafo Ano South East, and other fifteen (15) more constituencies for which he resisted the temptation to call them out.

KNB further called on the National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah not to renege on his promise of delivering a convincing majority side to the NDC. For a successful administration, Chairman General must employ needful sanctions which may likely not sit well with ‘Judases‘ in the NDC. Like the proverbial boil that causes so much discomfort, its remedy cannot show any form of compassion. The party must sacrifice those who have been sacrificing the NDC‘s electoral fortunes for pittances. The convenient political merchandise must cease in Chairman General‘s tenure, he charged.

Independent political researches have projected an NDC-win with the Former President, John Mahama as presidential candidate in 2024 general election and an appreciable increase in the party’s Parliamentarians. The projection is NDC will win more than twenty (20) seats to her stock. This proposition is hinged on the party’s ability to file strong and competent candidates.

Meanwhile, the NDC has set 13th May, 2023 for her Presidential and Parliamentary candidates elections.
