I Will Lead My Women With Love, Unity And Selflessness To Election 2020-Cde Small

The Women’s Organizer-elect in the Nkawkaw constituency primaries of the opposition NDC, Madam Bridgette Oforiwaa, aka “Cde Small” has stated that her election  represents a new dimension of women leadership for the Nkawkaw constituency of NDC.

She has also reiterated her commitment to lead the women of the constituency with love, unity and selflessness by collaborating with her deputy to go all out and gather together all women who belong to the NDC as well as those on the opposition side who are disappointed by the leadership of the Akuffo Addo led administration as well as floa0tting female voters in Nkawkaw to amass enough votes for the NDC come 2020 elections.

Madam Bridgette Oforiwaa pulled 57 votes out of the total 116 votes with her deputy women’s organizer-elect, Madam Enerstina Owusuaa also polling 66 votes in her contest.

Speaking to newsmen after her victory, the friendly and affable business woman who owns a restaurant popularly   known as “Cde Small,” indicated that she represents a new hope for the women of the constituency because according to her, she will abolish the selfishness and total negligence of party members exhibited by the former executives that resulted into apathy on behalf of the party members that led to the downfall of the NDC in the 2016 general elections.

Explaining how she intends to rebuild the broken fortunes of the party, Madam Bridgette indicated that blind persons rarely disclose their sources of weapons in their battles but assured party faithful of hard work and selfless leadership to make her vision a reality.

She finally expressed her sincere gratitude s to the delegates who have elevated her to the position.

Alhaji Sidi Bello, the Constituency Secretary who spoke to the media after the halt of the rest of the elections, explained that out of the 13 positions that are being contested from chairmanship to zongo caucus, three have some problems on them. He mentioned the chairmanship position which was contested by three candidates but had one person disqualified, likewise the treasurer and youth organizer positions respectively, as a situation that raised several agitations among the delegates and for that matter the suspension of the rest of the exercise.

Alhaji Bello again mentioned as part of the challenges, the late attendance of the electoral officers to the venue, inadequate funding and the cancellation of the usual decentralized system of printing of ballot materials.

He finally expressed his dissatisfaction on the entire exercise but indicated that the constituency, region and national officers will collaborate to rectify the situation soon.
