A group calling itself the Concerned Voters Movement (CVM) is accusing the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Multimedia Group Limited, Mr. Kwasi Twum of allegedly receiving over 50 million US dollars from some yet to be named saboteurs to work against the ruling NPP Government ahead of the December 7 general elections.

According to a statement issued to the media in Accra signed by its President, Mr. Razak Kojo Opoku, the said amount was paid to Mr. Kwasi Twum with the understanding of “using his media conglomerates Joy News, Joy FM and its sister stations to destroy the chances of President Akufo-Addo and the NPP Government ahead of the 2020 general elections”.

The statement alleged that, in the coming days, the Multimedia Group Limited would use their platform to cause public disaffection for the NPP by pushing the agenda of scandals hiding behind the investigative work of Martin Amidu and Daniel Domelevo.

“Those who allegedly offered Mr. Kwasi Twum $50 million, according to inside sources within Multimedia Group Limited, are on his neck to do everything possible to destroy the chances of NPP, and if that becomes successful they are allegedly ready to offer his company Multimedia Group Limited a contract worth over $200,000million after the Victory of NDC and John Mahama in the December 7th, 2020 general elections.

The interest of Multimedia Group Limited has overshadowed the company’s professional and ethical considerations.
Efforts to speak with the CEO of Multimedia Group, Mr. Kwasi Twum prove unsuccessful.
