Global Music Festival Launched In Accra to Mark Ghana’s 65th Independence Anniversary

Thousands of diaspora expected in Ghana to mark the 10th anniversary edition of the Global Music festival.
The launch of the festival was part of the 65th anniversary of the Ghana’s Independence and the 20th anniversary of the African union.
Speaking at the launch of the Global Music Festival, the Deputy minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku -Mantey expressed optimism about the economic impact of the event on the local economy, adding that the festival will attract tourists and increase in inbound travel.
According to him, event will be held at the Black star square in Accra on September 24 with live performances from international music super star Usher, SZA, Stormzy , H.E.R and side Ghana stars like Sarkodie ,Stonebwoy and Gyakie.
The event will put spotlight on Ghana’s creative arts industry and boost collaboration between Ghanaians and artists from other part of the world who are expected to mount stage at the black star square.
The Deputy was of the hope that the even would attract millions of people from home and abroad for the celebration.
With this, he said Ghanaians are yenning to see thousands of their brothers and sisters from the diaspora back home to witness the 65th anniversary commemoration.
