Gender Ministry Rallies Support For Black Queens After Historic Victory Over Algeria

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has showered praise on Ghana’s national women’s football team, the Black Queens, following their stunning victory over Algeria that secured them a place in the semi-finals of the African Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.
In an official statement released on July 19, 2025, the Ministry congratulated the team for their “remarkable victory” and expressed unwavering support as they prepare to clash with Morocco in the next stage of the competition.

“We remain confident in their ability to reach the finals and ultimately bring the trophy home,” the Ministry stated, adding that the team’s journey continues to inspire pride and unity among Ghanaians.
The Ministry further lauded the Queens’ strength, determination and teamwork, encouraging them to keep the national spirit alive.
“As they continue to make Ghana proud, we believe they will make the entire nation proud once again.”
