Gbawe Kwatei family Warns Landquards…Gives Police 2 Months Ultimatum to Effect Arrest

​The Gbawe Kwatei family of the Asere Kpakpatse We of the Ga State in the Greater Accra region, has given occupants on their lands who have not regularized their lands with the family, a two months ultimatum to do so

​According to the family, failure to comply with the directive will result in occupants facing legal action or losing their property.

​​Addressing the Media at Gbawe, the stool Secretary of the family, Solomon Nii Afutu Quartey, admonished occupants on their lands to undergo proper regularization with immediate effect.

​“This exercise will commence from this month November till the end of the year. failure to comply with this notice would result in prompt legal action”. He stated.

​”The Gbawe Kwatei family has been empowered by a court ruling to regularize all lands that belong to the stool”. Nii Afutu Quartey added.

​​He also notified occupants who are yet to develop, developing and who have also developed their lands to take note and comply with the notice.

​​He explained that the court dismissed the counterclaim of the 2nd defendant as unmaintainable​.

​Nii Afutu Quartey stated that the Gbawe Kwatei family has won a court case against the James Town Ngleshie Alata Stool of Accra with respect to the ruling delivered by the High Court in Accra on 30th of October 2019, presided over by Justice Anthony Oppong.

​He urged private property owners and estate developers to take advantage of the open window which ends on December to register their lands. Nii Afutu Quartey also appealed to the Jamestown Alata Stool to respect the Court ruling and act accordingly.
