In the previous year, an orphanage at Teshie called Nungua Orphanage Home were the respective beneficiaries of this kind and noble gesture by the group,
According to the Administrator of the group, Moses Adjei, This is but the little they can do to help the needy and less privileged in the society.
The group leader further added that they will continue to embark on their humanitarian acts as time goes on and urges the general public to remember the orphans and help them because they are also the nation’s future leaders.
On his part, founder of the orphanage, Mr. Samuel Oppong Darko, a visually impaired man was so much delighted by the kind gesture by the group. According to him the orphanage survives on such kind gestures by the general public. He added that the premises since they moved from their old place in 2014 have a total amount of 100 wards.
On some of the challenges they face, he said for now their main objective is to complete the girls dormitory which is under construction since the classroom they have serves as a dormitory at the same time and the building of a standard kitchen which is urgently needed because they have been using the old traditional mud kitchen with aluminum sheets used as fence around it, which makes cooking difficult at time. He said ‘We go through a lot of stress during rainy season because of the condition of our kitchen, the floor gets muddy and the roof leaks due to holes in it.
