EC, NPP Plunging Ghana in Chaotic Situations

The opposition National Democratic Congress NDC has warned that the activities of the Electoral Commission and the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP would plug the nation in a chaotic situations ahead of the December polls.

NDC alarmed the agenda by the ruling party and the electoral Commission to disenfranchise some voters in their strong holds will not be tolerated any longer.

Speaking at a Press conference in Accra on Friday, the elections Director of the party Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah lamented the already orchestrated plans by the EC and government to rig the 2020 elections for the ruling party in December.

Giving the statistics in the ongoing voters registration exercise, it shows that there were additional 19,017 and 5,288 to the number of registrants in Offinso North and Afigya Sekyere East all in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Surprisingly, instead of the original 43,197 of captured registrants in Oti Region NDC gathered only 38,551 on the EC’s website thereby cutting off 4,464 registrants from the list.

Another instances NDC caught the EC doing according Mr. Elvis was increasing figures in NPP’s strongholds and reducing same in the NDC’s strongholds.

This, they called on the EC to investigate and tell the people of Ghana what really went wrong.

The NDC also used the opportunity to served notice to the NPP members and their tugs that they no longer tolerate any attacks on their members and doing so will meet them in equal terms.
